It would be interesting to now add the 'gay' factor as another part of my paranoid theory as to why people don't get approved. I'm sure we can find people who have been waiting long and haven't been approved that are gay, and not because of USCIS regulations, but the actual officers and their personal beliefs.

I dont think being gay is a factor with the applications. I think you have to take in consideration for every single center. They are all different. I am gay, and my application was sent to Nebraska, they have been approving a lot of applications. Mine was approved Today, and i sent mine in June. So im sure it has nothing to do with being gay, its most likely the center.

Sooooooo I was finally approved yesterday!! after 10 & 1/2 long months & two RFEs.

Got the approval notices via text & e-mail around the same time. RFE card went into production first, then I got the text for I-821D approval.

Thats gay bro. But atleast you could find a person whos us citizen and married that person, they could make you a resident. Im not saying to look for that on purpose, but it could happen just like that. Point is that gay marriages that have a u.s. citizen in it can noq ask for their couple to be come residents just like any other person.
