I think it depends on how long you apply for. I believe the documents you have to fill out ask you how long you will need.

Hi everyone:

So I got my letter today from USCIS saying I was approved. The letter is kind of long... But what I'm curious about is this excerpt from the letter reading:

"The 90 day period for reviewing form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, filed together with form I-821d begins as of the date of this approval notice. If form I-765 is granted you will receive you EAD separately by mail."

Is this stating I have to wait those 90 days before it comes in?

Thanks in advance.

Well most applicants got approved for both docs at the same time and some within days but if you didn't get your ead approved yet don't worry it will come soon. That's the timeframe you "might" have to wait but don't worry who knows tomorrow you might get the ead approval email. Most importantly you got the deferred action approved!!! Congrats !!!!!!
Also lisha0227 is correct too..

Got my EAD in the mail today. Going on Tuesday to see if there is a walk in available for my license since I already have a previous SSN.

Man I'll be honest with you when I got through I was excited like hell but I will have to say the one thing I look forward to doing everyday since I got it is going to sleep and getting up. For years and even when it was pending I had sleepless nights and worries about if this or that happened, about life, the future being an immigrant, about waking up in the middle of the night with ice at my door for deportation and now it's like holy crap I can hear myself think now lol.
Life's good so far can't complain just a big 500lb weight off my shoulders...got back into college by holding my ssn, drivers license, and work permit like I'm playing cards at the poker table in front the admissions dept lol and my celebrations have started haha.
So how about you?? What are your plans now that uscis said the A word to you "approved" lol and whatcha gonna do to celebrate???

I would agree about the weight being lifted. True, true.

I've wanted to move to NYC because my business would prosper better there than here in Dallas. Now that all this is approved that is my goal... Moving to NYC within the next few months.

Make the absolute best out of this opportunity sir!
