What if someone's prints are truly illegible?
I doubt she would submit fingerprints that are not up to par. They must log in to take our biometrics and I don't think they risk losing their jobs over a print that takes 5 seconds to correct. I had a livescan done before where I thought the computer was rejecting them, but everything went through and I was hired.

Anyone else still haven't recieved their bio appt/letter yet? My app was received 6/2, and EAD expires 9/15. It's about 2.5 months now, and one more month until expiration. I've called a few times already, and often I have to wait for the previous request to reach 30 days before I can ask for another one. My current request ends on the 19th, so I'm planning to call in again then and see what they can do. Any ideas guys? Or is this still just a waiting game, until you get lucky with their new system. This new electronic system is really screwing us over huh.

I am not sure what will happen.

Yes, my job said they will rehire me once I get my EAD. But my fear is that this will end up taking longer than expected, and then it will be harder for them to actually want me to come back They may tell me that my position is filled and that they have to place me in another position... We shall see.

Job hasn't said anything, and I really - really - hope they won't. I called USCIS today the 16th and like many of you, they said there is nothing they can do because they are still working on cases received in Feb 18th, so it's under "procedural" time. I check the new ELIS an all my scanned applications and envelope are there, no criminal records whatsoever, no changes really, so pretty much is under their own discretion, and they are like "oh well, I am sorry"

wow and congrats at 84+ salary. Hope to get there soon. My HR first mentioned im expiring like 6 months ago, and again yesterday (1 expire on 9/4/16). HR mentioned that they will just take me off payroll, and im not able to work until i show them the new EAD card. SO i'm not losing my job, just on temporary leave. If your HR brings it up then make sure to tell them that USCIS has a backlog, you have applied long time ago, and you are willing to just go on temporary unpaid leave and will be back ASAP approval.

talk to your boss, as they need to know you are about to expire, and also talk to HR and see if theyre giving you a lay off or putting you on temporary leave. with temporary leave you just go back to work when you get approved.

I think you missed what my message was saying lol. I have been talking to them (at this point most of the senior leaders and managers know) about this for over a month and half, and they know all the details about my expiration date today. They are terminating me, not putting me on a leave of absence. We've been working on a game plan for getting me rehired once I get the EAD, but I'm just worried about how long it will take to actually get it.

sorry to hear. did you guys talk about just going on temporary leave? maybe talk to a lawyer and tell them you talked to a lawyer and he/she said temporary leave is okay. somewhere someone mentioned something like we get a 1 month grace period after expiration if we've applied and are waiting on them. see if that helps?? do some digging around.
