I finally got my DACA and work authorization after a week and 9 months!!

After the 6th month mark, I started to get nervous that I was not going to get approved because I have a prior deportation order, so I called my US Senator and asked them to look into it. I had to send a lot of paperwork over but I officially submitted the paperwork on October 16th. It took them 2 weeks to process all my paperwork and get working on my case. But a month later, I have my DACA.

Not sure if people are interested in calling their Senators or congress members for help but I would be willing to explain in details how the process works and the steps involved.

Congrats, about time!

I did contact my congressman TWICE with no real help (it didn't hurt to try). Seeing how people from March are getting approved, that gives me hope of a January approval for me.

I got approved on the 4th! get my card tomorrow.

I'm guessing your from Texas You should contact an immigrant friendly congress member See what happens with that. I also told them that daca denials are on the rise and I didn't to want to get denied. I sent them this link as proof. http://www.lawandsoftware.com/blog/daca-denials/

My congressman is Hispanic and a democrat, no issue there; I contacted him (well, his office ) and I got no help, just the same BS response I got from my e-requests. I don't think denials are 'on purpose', I'm sure it's more of a 'make sure they ARE eligible for DACA' situation than 'I don't like him, denied'.
