just an update... after contacting NILC they flagged my case, which I think triggered something because two days ago I received a text for both DACA and EAD.. after logging in it said my case was received on 8/15. Today I called and told the representative that my case was submitted in April, but he could not see it.. So he transferred me to to a tier 2.. I called right at 8 but still had to wait about 30 minutes to get a call back. anyways the guy was very friendly and was able to submit an inquiry explaining that my EAD expired today and that my case had been outstanding for four months.. he also explained that for some reason my case had been re-scanned and that was the reason I received the text...

For those who sent theirs in February, aren't you at the stage that you can demand someone take a serious look into your case? You would now be at the 6 month processing time...

Keep checking, it changes it happened to me twice. Also keep checking your case status and your Elis account also...good luck

 How does the call back work for the "outside normal processing time inquiry"? I was able to submit one for the Work Permit, but not sure if their answer is going to be that is dependent on DACA, and it's still within processing time. This has been a very stressful process over all -- I am definitely glad that if the next President doesn't overturn DACA, then we can apply 180 days beforehand, for a little peace of mind. |
