It is right and just for us to have a speedy pathway to citizenship at this point; and by us, I mean all Dremers, not just the DACA population. For us to be left thinking it is okay not to be able to travel or not to be able to eventually sponsor a spouse for citizenship later on or not be able to vote and continue to pay taxes without representing just shows so much how we have been beaten down over the last 15+ years. And then this constant climate forcing us to believe we DESERVE only breadcrumbs makes the DACA population turn against other Dreamers when we could use that energy to mobilize and scortch Congress for their inaction and very, very low bar... So sad.

We need WAY, WAY better leadership in the Dreamer community. Dreamers that are not UWD. Dreamers that are smart, fight for the Dreamer community, critical, strategic, organized, and outspoken. From what I have seen, our community rolls over to Durbin who has had no fucking results for 20 years. We stay silent to UWD. We do not meet the fucking Republicans who hate us with equal passion and action. We don't organize. We largely stay silent and just watch. If we had better leadership and action, this shit would have been over a long time ago. We have social media, we have the majority of the public behind us, we have our employers supporting us, we have so much, yet default and submit to the current situation.
Absolutely - it is fair and humane to include all DREAMERS, especially those who have been here the longest but were stupidly left out of DACA; 30 or 40 years is a LIFETIME.

"The longer we tolerate failure, the more we suffer. But as Utah has shown the past 20 years, if we defy division to welcome all immigrants, we prosper. For the sake of America, we must pass immigration reform now. -"

I am neutral to their sentiment but do wish they could have expressed them without expletives. My goodness. People, please act civil and professional seeing how people externally do read out comments (as evidenced here)...

Some people on here really do need to relax with some of the comments and choice of words when commenting on here (especially when talking about public officials).. It is an online forum and it is a poor reflection of the dreamer community as a whole when we are in a position of asking for legalization. Not really doing us any favor if people are leaving comments cussing out public officials

I don’t think so. People need to vent. After 10 years of living on a roller coaster with a 2 yr renewable permit people have the right to be upset.

They see Nancy Pelosi speak on the house floor for 8 hours about including something for DACA in the budget bill while she was minority leader in the house. However, after 4 years in being in control of the house she hasn’t included it any budget bill.

They see Senate Dems shut down the government because immigration provisions weren’t in the budget bill. Now as they control the chamber, the only thing we’re seeing is something from Tillis(R) and Sienma(I).

So yeah, congressional Dems campaign, pull stunts, and pretend they care but they don’t. When they have the power to do something, they do nothing. …

Basically only Obama and the lawyers that defend DACA in court are the only ones that have actually done something for the community. Everybody is else is full of shit…
