So then I guess I shouldn't bother with getting in touch with them then...

Nice!!Great news...as for the infopass it is up to you, but to be honest with you if another delay happens in the future, i would not bother to go.

Part of me wants to at least try so that if I end up having to talk to the Congressman and/or the Ombudsman at least I can say I did everything I could to get some updates on my case. I submitted a SR regarding no biometrics appt. after 30+ days and got an email to expect a reply by Sept 6th. If I don't get anything back from them I'll have to call them. If that doesn't get anywhere, maybe I'll try the infopass even if it ends up being waste of my time.

They're just shafting everyone who sent it in February 14, 2016 and May 16, 2016.

The tech delay fucked them up so instead of trying to remedy it by pushing through all the apps that went first. They want to pad their stats for "average processing time" so they push through all the recent apps that just came in so it keeps the stats extra low to cancel out the ones that are now 120+ days. Simple as that

They took a month to send me my bios, whereas the few other people that also sent their renewal hella late got theirs right away. Even on my initial application and last renewal I received my bios very promptly. At least I got them, though, so can't complain.

But that's why this time seems more like luck of the draw, but hope your theory is right and they approve me quickly to keep that average processing time low — though I will feel terrible for the people that applied way before me.

Hi guys! Long time lurker, but I just wanted to post about my renewal experience this time around. I originally applied in August 2012 and was approved in November, was renewed on September 30th, 2014. My 2016 timeline is as follows:

9/30/2016 Expiration
5/30- App received at lockbox (routed to NSC)
6/3- Bio appointment mailed
6/10- Bio appointment received
6/15- Bio appointment walk-in
8/18- DACA approval via ELIS

I'm so relieved that this whole ordeal is (almost) over. I was so worried that I would expire before renewal. I recently graduated with my bachelor's and just started at one of the Big 4 so I highly doubt I would be rehired if my EAD expired. I don't think I can deal with this again so I'll be filing for AOS soon so I don't have to go through this. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

According to the renewal spreadsheet they are processing 3 bins with different receipt dates. I think its something like February, March and Mid to late April in one bin. Late April to May in the other. And finally, everyone that applied after May 16. They are processing these three bins in the date of ordered received within each bin. Thus, this is allowing them to keep the processing times at about 105 days, but shafting everyone that has already expired, including 8/17. We can only hope they turn it around fast before the September applicants expire as well.
