I bet that waiting was killing you. I really hope I don’t get to wait that long. I hope my case is pretty straight forward for whoever is working on it.

Question. I've been reading through the DACA to AOS forum and I just read from someone here that during their interview the IO has a big folder about her and she said that most of them she did not send for her AOS file. Did this ever happen to you? Is this common?? Like how much info do they have from us?? From DACA era?? And how extensive this background check will be?? I am just curious haha paranoid even probably

Relax. You already gave them your life history and you've gotten DACA, what are you worried about? But to answer your question, They have everything associated with your A number. EVERYTHING. The background check is the same as DACA. They will see if anything comes up that makes you not eligible for the benefit you seek.

I received the notices that I got approved for EAD and advance parole. Just no advanced parole and EAD. Is that normal?

Advanced Parole and EAD are one in the same....The EAD will say VALID for re-entry until "Date here"

Each person's case is absolutely different. The background check is quite extensive....citizenship background checks even more so. If you have lived in the US all your life, of course the federal government will have extensive information on you.

On your personal case, I believe you may have the easiest AOS ever from the information you have given thus far.

I have a question regarding the I-130 form, since I’m applying for my husband who’s a DACA recipient..Do they have to apply for adjustment of status at a US consulate or embassy in their country of birth? The form and instructions doesn’t have anything that indicates that. It just says it doesn’t guarantee whether or not the case will be accepted. My husband and I really don’t want to go to El Salvador. Does that mean I can put down another country?

It all depends on how your husband last entered the United States, not based on the current Deferred Action. How did he enter the US, with or without a visa?
