Thus, along with getting my N-400 form filled-out and ready, I've also started researching and putting together forms for sponsoring my mom, so that I can do it as soon as I receive my Naturalization Certificate (time-permitting w/BCT or AIT, that is).

I believe these are the forms needed in the packet to sponsor a parent. These forms can apparently be concurrently filed:

Forms for the sponsor, me, the [future] citizen:
I-130: Petition for Alien Relative
I-864/EZ: Affidavit of Support

Forms for the sponsored, my mom, the [future] LPR:
I-485: Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
I-693: Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record
G-325A: Biographic Information
I-765: Application for Employment Authorization (FREE).

Optional, as we're all familiar:
G-1145: e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

The evidence needed for the application are listed in each of the forms' instruction documents. Note, the evidence requirements are different for mother and father. I've also read that since they are parents of US Citizens, no waiver or fine is needed--just a combined fee of $1,490 [-ish?] for forms I-130, I-485, and biometrics.

Please let me know if anyone knows more information, or if I am missing any documents.

Hope this helps!

Very helpful, this is my plan as well. How long do you think it may take for them to have an EAD from the moment we submit this application for processing?

Hmm, I'm not sure, but from what I've read, the whole process only takes about 6-8 months if everything is done correctly--so I'd imagine EAD to come before that..

Excuse you? It's undocumented.

Why don't you go calm down and eat a cookie?

Not our fault if his weight is grossly over the military standards.

He might also be from a country that isn't qualified for the language clause.

^That's probably more likely. I was just saying that since he's being a sourpuss.

He is, nothing we can do about it. He is already punished.

Unless ofcourse, he is just fat and didn't qualify for the requirements.
