Still waiting on news on my new card... Hopefully soon. I don't even care about the loss of a year - I'll gladly apply every six months

Hello everyone, i am working on sending my renewal application tomorrow, and i see there is a new section on I-765 for passport and I94 information. i am just confused if i need to send copies of these as well or just enter the numbers? and does it matter if the passport has expired a long time ago?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Edit: The passport on which i traveled to US the first time expired and then i renewed my passport again from my country's embassy in US, and that one has expired too. So which passport information should i put on the application?

Hey guys, checking in. My EAD expires January 26, 2019. I literally just sent my renewal application today. Part of me is a little nervous since I'm sending it 3 months before expiration, but the bigger part of me has a feeling it's going to be ok and I'll be approved before it expires. I'll def keep you guys posted, and it's great to see people expiring next year are getting approved!

Mine will expire at the end of Jan 2019 and in July my lawyer advised me to began the paperwork because, at that time, it was taking more than 4 months to complete the renewal. So we sent the paperwork at the end of July, received an appointment for biometric mid August, and the approval on 8/31/18. It was surprisingly fast and even though I lost almost 4 months (remember it doesn't expire until Jan 2019) I am OK with that. My job had already asked me about it.

Hope this helps.

That's awesome!!
I think mine will get approved pretty fast too. Last renewal took about two months.

So yes it’s practically to the day 5 months out for all those who applied early and yes you will be issued a new date which will be whatever day they approved you. Some are upset about losing 5 months but either way it was never permanent and under this administration nothing is certain. Dreamers are pawns and tbh politicians don’t give a flying fruitcake about us. They only pretend to be concerned when it serves their platform’s agenda, so don’t get your hopes up so high you come crashing back down to reality. That will only make you depressed and screw with your mental and emotional health, which is fraying at the edges already most likely. Just remain hopeful that soon we will be a good strategy for a team of influential politicians to fight for and their influence is enough to get those last few votes in the senate for some kind of dream act. Anyway stop whining. You lost 5 months but perhaps you gained 19 months. Or at least you dont have to nail-bite, worrying if they’ll approve you before your current card expires or approve renewals at all. It’s uncertain times and I don’t have to worry as much and neither do you.
