I got this email from the ombudsman this morning. I submitted a request with the ombudsman in June. Hope having the ombudsman request an update will help.

Dear Sir or Madam,

On [DATE], the Ombudsman's Office sent a follow up inquiry to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding your request for case assistance.

We will notify you when we receive a response from USCIS.

If your issue has been resolved or you no longer need assistance from the Ombudsman's Office, please contact us at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov

Geez 2+ months for that response, I got my response a few days later after they made the inquiry. I've even gotten an additional response last week.

Thank you,

What did they say last week?

I've been doing it through multiple avenues, I had two SR's with specific language which apparently triggered something back at Nebraska or Missouri. ELIS Help Desk also has yielded responses with specifics to my case, and Service Center HQ email just responded with confirmation of my biometrics.
So it's not just one source, remember this is USCIS.

Kind of funny how this whole mess has changed my perspective on some things. I thought I did the right thing in applying in advance. Now I'm thinking, if I had sent my app in may would things have been different? I mean we had a guy here get approved 70 days or something ridiculous like that after applying.

Anyone have their EAD status changed from approved back to "USCIS received your application..."? My DACA and EAD were approved on 8/17, but now my EAD is in progress again.

What is the truth?

I did a walk-in infopass visit this morning. I wasn't even seated to talk to an officer, the officer doing the check-in checked my status and told me there was nothing that could be done. My favorite direct, word-for-word quote from her was "We don't really do anything here."

New, almost contradicting, information was gleamed - so maybe it wasn't a complete waste.

I just don't know anymore...

Got a call from a tier two rep today. Two days after they were actually supposed to call me. I guess thats fine.

He took all my info then put me on a series of holds where he confirmed my address and date of birth.

Then he asked me what he wanted me to do since he cant really do anything.

I'm so disillusioned with this whole process now. As i'm sure many of you are as well.

He didn't even really try to help.
