For those who got their licenses already, how long are they good for? I am hearing different things in CA, some people have it good for 4 years, others 2. depending on what city. even though our EAD is only good for 2.

I just got drivers permit, and was wondering how insurance works. I'm 23 and will be learning to drive using my parents' car. Do they add my name to their insurance, or is something else that needs to be done?

Your driver's license is only good for as long as your EAD is good.


I just got my permit also! Yes they must add you as an authorized driver on their policy.

So whats the wait time for the drivers license to arrive after the drivers test?

took it almost tw0 weeks ago, yes i know i'm a lagger but i passed with a breez lol.

Around 10 days to 2 weeks...

Mine took 8 days.

I know every state is different, was wondering in Nevada when you take your driver's license exam and are over a certain age, do you need to take both the written and on the wheel exam?
