I didn’t apply for a work permit with my AOS application because I had over a year left on my DACA obtained work permit, and I did not expect this process to be as long. I was obviously underestimating the time for my case, I have applied for a work permit through AOS since my DACA one expires in August but I’m starting to get a bit worried. The fact that the website is not showing any updates is not helping me. I’ve submitted a case inquiry online but I’ve yet to receive an answer about it. Has anyone from Texas with a similar timeline received their interview notice? See my timeline below.
your timeline and mine aren't that much different, however we have a little bit of outcomes. My priority date is 7/27/2017, MSC. I actually had to call them about my work permit that i had thru DACA, which was expiring in a few weeks, at this time i had already filed AOS. Called them and told them i really needed a work permit cuz the one i had was expiring, and two weeks later i got it in the mail with an approval notice. I also already went for my interview, everything went smooth expect the fact that i didn't have my medicals with me at the time. i went to the field office a few days later and submitted it to the officer who interviewed us. Still waiting for the i130 and i485. Its a damn long wait!!!! i did my interview in January, and its now May heading to June!

for anyone wondering, the online statuses have been way off. I got the gc in the mail on 5/4, and since then have been receiving random emails and texts that my application is being reviewed, that there was no action taken, that it was approved, that documents were being mailed, as recently as this weekend (5/26)

sorry for the delay, work & travel. I did receive my gc
I got the interview date in under 12 months, the interview date itself was almost a year from my priority date:

3/20/17 - AOS received/priority date (i-485, i-130, i-765)
7/12/17 - EAD approved notice
11/15/17 - EAD card received (multiple service requests)
2/5/18 - Interview notice
3/15/18 - Interview (nyc)
4/23/18 - i-130 approved
4/28/18 - i-485 approved
5/4/18 - Notice & GC received in mail

Like others said, it mostly depends on your field office. Mine was NYC which is considered busy and slow

Yay! Congratulations! That’s awesome! I am having my lawyer file everything this week.. I think it’s going to the Nebraska service center.. or something like that.. I was hoping to get everything within a year, but it looks like that’s not gonna happen.. I’m probably not gonna be able to attend my friend’s wedding in Mexico..

Had my I-130 interview, officer said I have been approved. During interview however he asked for my previous address and who I stayed with. Told officer I lived with my parents then he proceeded to ask if they’re still living there. Thought about saying No but I answered honeslty and said Yes. My concern is now the officer might use the information to share it with ICE.

Thoughts?

Congratulations on your I-130 approval.

Also, the officer could be taking the information on your parents not necessarily for an ICE referral, but it could also be due to the possibility that you may file for them.

Currently, I have not heard of the administration using such infomation through USCIS for the purpose of enforcement.

I would instead focus on finishing up your process...because it is you they are looking in the spotlight, not your parents.

Does anyone know if you have an AOS application sent and pending, and you are awaiting an interview date. can you still leave the country? Doesn’t the EAD serve as a travel document?
