Did anyone's EAD expired without even getting their biometrics done?

Reasons they could give, no budget, no personnel, many multiple reasons. Let's patiently wait and do what we can do to keep up with our lives. Many of us have called them, and we always get the same lame responses. It sucks, but eventually they will get to each of us ( most likely in less than 6 months) From previous posts, I could tell USCIS is getting irritated with all our calls, maybe we should just leave it to a mediator like NILC, or other nonprofit to handle the situation in a more political way. Let's contact them instead. Better patiently wait, than loose everything us Dreamers have fought for so far. This is election year, many things could change in the future for us, in a good way, or bad way :/ Let's be prepared!
100% Agree with you. There's no reason to panic, they are going to get to us and are already approving people.

I don't think background checks system broke down. It's fairly robust and it is near instantaneous these days, we are not in early 2000s anymore.
Looks like delays are linked to ELIS failures (ELIS before DACA applications only really dealt with low volume applications such as green card replacements), but I am not sure if background checks are completely independent or if they rely on info to/from our application and if this connectivity broke down for the early applicants.
Guess we'll never really know as USCIS only mentioned "technical difficulties".. admitting that on their website is already a rare step.

So, I think I am approved!

I got a text saying that my case was updated at 1:30am and got another one at 2:00am.

It says my card is in production now.

My Daca is still not updated.

I am hoping that it will be approved soon as well. It's kind of weird, but I do remember that same thing happened when I got my 1st DACA.

Hopefully, I will see the actual EAD card by the end of the week.

I applied April 27th
Bio May 18th
Exp: September 15th

That's no way to live. Just when you're feeling normal again. Ayyyy~
We know that's not completely true. There have been plenty of people getting renewal approvals who sent it after Feb.

Also, leaving from here without AP is pretty much a one-way street if you don't have a reasonable and timely means of adjusting to PR.
Yeah definitely a one way street right now but it's worth looking into it for me. I'm gonna have plenty of time to kill at home now lol. They have the "Express Entry" they call it but you have a better chance of getting PR if you have a job offer. I mean nothing is easy anywhere. Just look at us now.

Just did a walk in, I was finally provided a pdf of my bio appointment and barely made in time.
Now to see if I can get it expedited, again...

Anyways, got some relief today, HR said I can work regardless of my expiration since this is not my fault, they just want updates.

Your timeline is very similar to mine and it gives me hope that they'll get to mine and others soon. Thanks for posting and congrats!

Interesting that your company is still letting you work. My boss sort of hinted at that today but I said I wasn't sure if that would come back to haunt me in the future if we're granted some sort of amnesty.

Would we be ok working while technically expired?
