Isn't this only a threat to those who get rejected? I don't have a reason to believe our application iwll get rejected. Joint lease, joint checking, a million pics, multiple flight tickets for vacation, etc.

its a treat tk those who are rejected AND out of status. If you believe you will not get denied, i would not renew it.

Base on that evidence, I dont think you would.

Good luck !

Oh ok! Cool! Your years are a bit confusing on your signature lol.. I’m in california... I heard the field office in SF is backed up, so I’m just hoping for the best. Do you mind sharing your interview experience, if you don’t mind, and if you have time? Just trying to get a feel for it from here and other forums.. thanks in advance!

Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed. My experience is on page 280 of this thread.

Hey guys, I have daca expiring next month in August and aos pd Sept 2017 in NYC. It is taking forever here and I'm worried about daca. I never ended up renewing because we have a strong case (7 years with lots of evidence) but I can't help being scared.. Seriously considering sending in a daca renewal now, even though I might get my aos interview in Oct/Nov/Dec.. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I talked to my lawyer about it earlier in the year and she said it's probably not worth it. Every time there's a bad daca development it gets me all riled up again.. my aos ead expires in November but my new one is processing.

I think you should've sent in the renewal 4 months ago

Honestly it’s frustrating the way they’re handling these cases.
So I’ve been reading on immihelp that the people who’ve gotten green cards and interviews super quick are ones that benefitted from a “glitch” in the USCIS system.. their case files got bumped before the 2017 applicants... so they went from application to GC in hand in like 4-6 months... sheer luck.

Playing the waiting game over here as well... I have my bio in a few days and then I’ll be counting those days till I get an interview notice... one by one.

My lawyer advised me as well that renewing DACA is unnecessary while a I-485 is pending. And especially for you since you’re awaiting an interview. I was worried about that as well and have had other users comment on “should’ve done this or that” and links to ICE arrests at interviews, but quite frankly you can’t change the past and I prefer not to put negative thoughts out there. Unless you’ve committed a felony and had a deportation order against you, you’ll be fine. Good luck on your interview!! Hoping for the best and speedy results for all of us!

Thanks for your response! I do feel like I should trust my lawyer since she's been through many adjustments before, but I get so anxious about the unknown, especially with the current administration. Trying to be positive lol

Good luck to you as well, hope your adjustment comes through quickly!!
