Those emails mean absolutely nothing. They just basically look up your receipt number and see that its under initial review and they tell you that an officer is reviewing your application.

HEY JJGLO, you did a walk-in for your biometrics right? if so, did you receive anything saying that they received your fingerprints or its just a waiting process? cause my appt was for november 08 but i did a walk-in on the 23rd. and my case hasnt updated on the uscis profile that i signed to.

The next update you will receive is either an approval or an RFE(HOPEFULLY NOT).
So just relax and when theres an update you will receive the txt or email.
I know it is hard to relax, trust me.

Just got my SSN card in the mail today!

I receive my DL (plastic card) and I applied at a lot of places. G'day.

Just sent my app today. Now, the wait begins.
