There are a few more things I noticed:

If your fingertips did not come out as good then this could delay the process. Also, age could be a factor; if you came to the states as a toddler then they might accept you faster opposed to someone who got here at the age of 15.

How could age could be a factor in processing the applications? Makes no sense to me.

Definitely not true. I got here at literally 5 months old EWI and I submitted medical paperwok to prove i was here since then and I just turned 18 this year and graduated in june so there is no way that age is a factor. I also submitted the 15th and it got there the 16th.. still nothing.

The only thing that bothers me is that people like me who waited for their appointment that are now backed up because people without legitimate reasons to do a walk-in (ex. everyone is just impatient). And now those walk-in people will be approved sooner.

It could be because they may feel you are more Americanized since you arrived at a younger age.

This doesn't mean they will reject you if you got here when you were older. I'm just saying the process could take longer.

The date you sent you application is irrelevant. The date of your biometrics matters. If you have a clean record and you do your biometrics then there's a chance you could get fast results. Just a hypothesis.

edit: ironically, i made a thread about walk ins vs waiting.

More Americanized?!?! Are you kidding me?
Don't take it the wrong way but I think you are totally wrong. Do you really think they file our applications by ages? So they could determine who's more Americanized? lol
Does that give you more privileges over a kid who was brought here when he was 14 years old? Cause, clearly, that's a key factor. In fact, kids who were brought here in their teens would be the last to process their applications, correct?

This is where the future notarios are born.

The cases sit in boxes. An adjudicator pulls a box and goes through the cases. Picks tge no brainers ajudicates goes into the other ones. Now one person works faster then another. One calls in sick or has a scheduled day off. This is new to them so they're checking double checking and tripke checking...
