How can they handle it really. They'll either approve it, issue an RFE, or deny it.

Hello Guys,

I will be sending my AP documents to travel to Perú for Humanitarian reasons next week. I have the following documents:
- Form I-131 with a check for $ 360 payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Letter from my grandmas doctor regarding her health conditions.
- birth certificates that explains relationships
- copy of DACA acceptance
- copy of my drivers license and passport
- letter from my grandmother regarding her need to see me

Am I missing anything? Do I need two passport copies?

Thanks guys,

I wanted to share my experience Travelling abroad with Advance parole and not being in my country for almost 18 years. It was great, I travelled through JFK airport at New York and came back with no issues. I was so glad because I was nervous and scared but the process was simple. I am thankful to other posts who gave me confidence to travel and let me know how it was. I travelled under humanitarian purpose to visit ailing relative. I stayed for almost 2 months at my home country and I was asked a few questions why I went there and how as well as what am I doing in the US. The agent seemed to be confused and asked me a few questions repeatedly but after a bit he took me to stamp my two Advance Parole documents and both of them were given back to me, only one was stamped. At my home country getting on the plane, they needed to verify the travel document since I had no visa so they called the consulate and I gave the my employment authorization to match it's Alien number with it then they let me on. They said they hadn't seen it before thats why. I had read that some DACA people didn't get any back while others only got one back so it depends on the officer but it doesn't matter since you can pull up your I-94 online. I was asked if I was going to adjust status since I had been paroled which got me excited but I wasn't yet at the moment. My attorney had told me that this clears my previous unlawful presence no longer being subject to a 10 year bar. I would like to encourage other dreamers based on my travel experience. woot woot

Can anyone elaborate on what this answer means for an expedite SR on a AP application?

The status of this service request is:

The expediting of a case allows it to be sent quickly to an officer for adjudication. However, your case is currently under review by an officer. We have notified the officer reviewing your case of your expedite request, however it is their discretion to grant the expedite. Please contact us again if you do not receive the document or other correspondence within the 30 day time frame.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

They pretty much explained it. Expedition means that your case goes directly to an officer for them to review since your case is not necessarily the first to arrive to their desk.

But your case is already being looked at, so they sent your expedite request to that officer so that they can consider it and make a decision faster because of the circumstances you presented.

They will try to make a decision as soon as possible. It can take up to 30 days for them to send you your Advance Parole or ask you for more evidence. If they don't, you can contact them, until then it is best to wait.

Hey guys! I got my AP documents and I will be traveling to Acapulco MX on August 20th. I would like some advise of you guys can spare any.
What documents did you take with you?
What will the Mexican airports ask for on the way in and on the way out?
Has anyone had a long layover at Mexico City airport? I have an 11 hour layover.
Are airports in Mexico friendly? Any experiences? Thanks!

Malignon, thanks for the reply. so if my case is already being looked at does it mean it was expedited? The case was received July 13, 2015. I put in SR on 7/21/15.

Well. As I said before. For USCIS to expedite a case is for them to take your case out from the stack and the officer looks at it first thing. You sent your expedite when it was already being looked at by an officer so there isn't much for USCIS to do other than to tell the officer that you requested expedition and he or she may review your case and make a decision quicker.

Hey its sherry.i am a indian citizen went to mexico on advance parole for internship. it went great no question was asked while coming back. my destination was NY but was inspected by CBP officer in Atlanta. They didn't ask me anything. Everything was so quick may be because i was with my US citizen wife. it took 20 min to clear CBP inspection. Now back in US after a month internship in Puerto Vallarta.
