The Nebraska center finally responded to my email, but their response was not helpful!!!

Good afternoon,

This e-mail message is in reply to your inquiry regarding the Forms I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, that you filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on February 18, 2016.

USCIS records indicate that this case is still pending at the Nebraska Service Center. A supervisor is aware that this case is outside of the normal processing time, however, I am unable to determine the date you will receive a notice of action or a final decision on your case.

The National Customer Service Center’s toll free number is 1 (800) 375-5283 or you may access the CIS web site at www.uscis.gov should you have any further questions or need additional information.

Regards,
USCIS Nebraska Service Center

Have you tried having NILC flag your case? If it has expired and you applied back in February you should definitely email them so they can flag your case.

Yeah I contacted them about 3 weeks ago and they said they were going to flag my case (I answered all their questions and gave them all of my information). I'm going to follow up with them and forward them the email I just got from the Nebraska Center. I don't know what else to do. I've done everything possible

If your dl is not expired... then you're good to go. Also, they put your Id under a black Light machine to see the authenticity of your dl.

I with they would give us a more detailed and helpful response.

Detailed and helpful is not their style. Vague and disinterested is more their MO.

Called them many many times and emailed them also. This is the type of response you're going to get. I've given up trying to contact them directly, I honestly don't see a point

Just got this from nilc.reply:

"In order for us to assess how and if we can help speed up your DACA renewal, please email back with the information below.

- A#

- DACA renewal receipt #

- EAD receipt #

- Any mailings received from USCIS?

- Have you traveled outside the U.S. since receiving DACA?

- Have you had any encounters with law enforcement since receiving DACA?

Can you also send me your address? Given the seriousness of your situation, we may need to see if your Senator or Congressional Representative might be able to weigh in with USCIS on your behalf. (And your address will let me know who your Congressional reps are.)

If you are not already doing this, you will also want to check the USCIS on-line case tracking tool (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) and the ELIS system every day, as your renewal is likely to be reflected there before you actually receive your new EAD in the mail. And your employer will likely accept the approval online even if your EAD hasn’t yet arrived.

Finally, you may want to check out our tipsheet on expediting your renewal (if you haven’t already): https://www.nilc.org/issues/daca/ste...newal-delayed/

Let me know if you have any questions. Please send the info above as soon as you can so that we can get moving on this.

Thank you,

-S"
