If I were you I know I'd still be shaking right now lol. Learn from your experiences and avoid getting in that situation again.

Wow, after reading your story -- this just makes me even more nervous because I am suppose to fly from Texas to Los Angeles this August.

I also have a valid passport, and I really don't travel that often, and I just really need to make this one trip. But now, this is just making me think twice.

You're very lucky! I only flew from Orlando, FL to Newark, NJ once but I'll never do it again. Especially after reading this. You literally dodged a grenade. I'm glad everything's okay but the idea that you could've gotten deported right on the spot just gives me the chills.

dang this is really scary . . . I would be pale and shaking too if I was to be questioned about my status. . .

It makes me worry about my trip to IU (for college orientation) this summer. . . Will it be okay if I just show them a valid student ID with my face on it?(well i have a couple of them from 2006-2009) then if they ask , i should show them the passport. . . .@@"

I'm not sure how much clearer I can explain this without ranting, but for YOUR SAKES, don't fly unless you have a valid DL until Dream passes - PLEASEEEEEE.
There, question answered...

My sister and I flew from nyc to houston yesterday. This is our 5th or 6th trip. We went to portland, miami, new orleans and ohio. Not once did we have a problem until yesterday. TSA stopped us, flat out asked me where my student visa was and then looked at my sister. flipped through my passport for 2 minutes and then let us through. However once we passed 2 female TSA officers took us to the side and cheked our bodies and bags. I was so scared. I am scared still. I don't know how I will go back to nyc this coming sunday. I will have to take the plane but I am so scared. Being here 20 years means nothing. I am not having a good time of it. The past trips we were with other citizens and maybe thats why they didn't stop us but this time it was just me and her. I don't want to get deported, but I have no choice. Greyhound isn't safer from texas right? or amtrek?
