well the fact remains america wants to see the border secured because it is a matter of national security. nobody wants to see more illegal aliens crossing the border. they need to secure the border first and make sure that when and if another amnesty is even passed, same thing wont happen as it did back in '86. they also got to get rid of the number one thing that attracts illegal immigration: jobs/employers who exploit these workers for below minimum wage.

get those 2 down, then we can talk about legalizing 12 million people in a gradual manner. just as they cant deport all 12 million people, they cant legalize 12 million people all at once.

which is exactly why DA needs to come up first along with maybe agjobs.

Actually your wrong, In Europe where I am from. The majority of countries in Western Europe grant birthright Citizenship. You are required to live in the country for 10 years until you are granted citizenship (To children born to non-citizen parents).

Now that being said, this bill will not pass the legislative branch. Why? Because of the U.S. Constitution, Obviously alot of the things in the U.S Constitution is outadated (However I dont think this amendment is), Americans have a very hard time disagreeing and even reapealing anything in the document, because "its our God Given right".

And From what I remember from my Government Courses. This bill will have to go throught the Legislature of all 50 states and 2/3 of the states must agree to this bill to repeal the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

This thread is just too wrong on too many levels and its going to end up in the gutter, where it belongs, anyway.
