nah. go ahead.

i understand how dramas can get in a restaurant. i've been working here for almost three years now. i don't know if it's the small circle, or the fact that we put a bunch of mid-age asian ladies together...but boy they sure know how to make their life "interesting". something tiny can be blown up like it's the end of the world. i gotta give you props for working with them for so long though. we used to have more white people than asians working in our restaurant, but eventually they left because those asian ladies are too annoying. lol. you are right though, we should be thankful that we at least have a job.

23 Korean here soon to be 24. Listen to me, do your best in school and go to a good college because that is the best way to success given our situation!

Hurry too. I know because I am getting older and many doors have closed on me because I didn't take my education seriously!

Hello Gloria!! Believe it or not in South American countries there is a strong Asian cultural influence. In my country of origin, Peru has been highly influenced by Chinese and Japanese communities. I think its awesome. As far as the restaurant stuff, I'd never work in a restaurant before but I am working in a store and dealing with customers everyday. Its a pain but I remind myself constantly that this is just temporary. Its funny how we find toxic people who gives us a hard time in jobs such as these. But even though it frustrates me, it saddens me even more that those people can live like that. We just have to focus on our higher goals. We are eagles waiting to fly high!! We are just among the chickens for now.

To Gloria, Alextex, geronimo610, Carter86, ilvtennis and ANYONE else that has graduated from college and is wiping tables, I'm with you! Wiping tables while knowing that you earned and deserve better SUCKS. And it is true, we are eagles waiting to fly high! Hang in there and remember you are truly not alone. One day soon the gates will open for us and we will be ready. We are ready. We have the knowledge and the appreciation, and that is what some of the customes we take care of lack. One day, this situation will change for us and we are all going to come out of the shadows with engineering degrees, math degrees, business degrees, nursing degrees, Master's degrees (me) and the US won't even know what hit them. They will be wondering, "How did these people do it?, Where did they come from?, We had this group of talented individuals wiping tables?"

Hey guys,

It's really great to meet all you people on here. Knowing that I'm not alone in this world really helps me cope with my situation more. I just CANNOT WAIT for DREAM to pass! I ask all my friends to call our senators like crazy...but I don't even know if they will get the messages?

btw...this is just me venting...but WIPING TABLE REALLY SUCKS!

If you guys ever go out to eat, please learn to appreciate your waitresses. They work very hard (but if they are rude, of course don't be a push-over). I've been having horrible luck lately...all these rude customers who think they are so much better than you. What they don't know is, if I had that stupid piece of paper, I would be at a much better place than them! And I'll actually treat people more equally!

GRRRRRR I'm so upset.
