I should have like a 3.4 gpa, it could have been higher but sometimes i get down on myself and say why study all these hours and it will all be for nothing and that affects my grades.

i havent really done anything at all these few weeks, except waking up early and watching the world cup tournament , been blowing the vuvuzela for a while already.

in conclusion, my life sucks...i would be a different person if i had a green card. Would have most likely had my 4 year degree, a job, nice car, my own place, dating a bunch of women, and just an overall way better life.

fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!!!! , oh yea and i hate my us born friends who are lazy ass shit work shitty jobs and get drunk all the time, and they seem happy!!! wtf!!!
That really gets me too. These people who have what I would pay for if I could but are doing nothing with it

Just turned 25 in April. Passed the 19th year mark in the US this month.
I hear you. Kind of lost my mind for a bit.
Nearly buckled under the pressure I put on myself.
Getting ready to bust in September. Lots of doubts and fears, but once I'm wherever, I'm going to kick ass and bust down doors.

We have to look for the gaps in between the no's and look for possibilities.
I was studying hardcore for my GRE's when I realized I'm just buying time (there is nothing wrong with that) but I don't want to go to school for the sake of going to school. But I wonder whether I should just do it. Masters degree wouldn't be a waste (god knows my b.a. in political science is) but I feel that our situation made me pick things I don't necessarily like and go for something I could do. But liking what we do seems like a luxury these days, status or not.

Think about what you would like to do if Dream Act passes or if you would go to birth country.

Bah, I've been pumped for weeks just because I could make a decision and in the brief silences of a nyc subway ride, I said to myself that I will probably be homesick a lot. Yeah, this is my home and sometimes I catch myself in those brief moments where it truly hits me that this situation is fuckin' retarded but no joke.

I don't like where this thread is going. I understand the frustration and the fear and all the possible emotions that you may be going through because of your situation, but you can't let it get you down. As an adult, you have already made the decision to stay in the country, so don't sit and moan about how unfair life is, go out and live. And as hef107 and others have said, have a plan B, in case things don't work out for us. You're entitled to feel hurt and afraid but don't let these feelings take over your life.

If your reading, than you probably read the other postings. As you can see, your not the only one out there My best advice....and this is coming from someone who's been here illegaly for 18 years...start living your life not for yourself, but for others. What I mean is, start thinking about helping others and wanting to see a smile on the faces of your loved ones. If your going to do something think "how will this help my family or friends later".....i know this sounds kinda silly or stupid but it's really helped me put things in perspective. Not to sound like a broken record but you can IM me or we can chat on the chat room. bye

If you're 26 and still not in school (at least at a CC...), then what have you been doing for the last 8 years? If one has neither been working nor been going to school, I don't know what to say... There shouldn't be a barrier to both at the same time even if one is undocumented. I'd say after 8 years, if one still hasn't found a job and saved enough money to attend a cheap CC, then it's usually failure on his or her part.

I'm not liking this particular whine thread.

A little harsh Gretch lol

I get where your coming from but its still hard on people. I'm about to turn 22, and well I do have some degrees from my community college ,but I still feel like a major failure. I am not transferring due to money issues and cant seem to find a job. I wake up and its the same thing everyday. A lot of it is my fault, but I just don't know what to do anymore.

If anyone who is nearing their 30's and works and goes to school then its fine to wait for some sort of reform. However, if you aren't doing anything then maybe you have become to hopeful and its time to move on. I personally don't want to leave at all because I know that Mexico will be harsh, but I already have a harsh life. It kinda seems that every-time I want to leave congress or Obama comes out spitting more lies which tells me to stay. My new deadline is Summer 2011 lol

I will be 23 then and I just cant keep at it any longer. I don't see myself in school by that time anyways due to how the California system works (you apply in Nov and get in the following fall) I wont be applying because there is no point. Anyways, imagine going back "home" when you are 30. At least if you leave in your early 20's then you have some time to adjust.

Everything just sucks
