Bro, its just something call RESPECT. Yes you do have "freedom of speech", but without respect, it makes you look like a total retard! Something you learn a early age. The only reason I'm replying back is because I'm bored and going ftw. lol

Right.

But what I did was, state my opinion. Never did I call the O.P names or anything for that matter. Perhaps you should join a forum that specifically deals with Religion? You know, if you don't want to be "offended" when other people post their opinions, that just happen not to fall in line with yours? I mean I'm just saying.

Yes, you stated your opinion in a manner that was somewhat unnecessary...

While I do agree that I might have been a bit harsh, I have to disagree with your "unnecessary" comment.

This thread was unnecessary.

Hmmm, analyzing your point of view..... It seems to be that you have hatred (Yes hatred) towards christians, Im assuming. By any chance did you get raped by a priest when you were younger? Maybe thats it, your solution is to forgive! lol

First of all, who are you to think that 1 billions people faith is not strong? Are you Jesus, buddha or Idk by any chance? Those people who pray are empowered and they do accomplish great things.

People also pray for the poor and sick (Africans too). Yes they are in harsh conditions but aid (some are from people who pray) arrives to them. Their was a source stating that the percentages of starving africans has decreased from the last 30 years. Help is arriving to them but slowly.

The O.P wrote what he wrote to encourage other dreamers. If you havnt noticed, many of the dreams (Im assuming more the 25%) believe in prayer and God. So this, inna way helps them and makes more similarities between one another. There is a strong group of christians in this forum, so Im just being a leader and standing up for what I believe in!

I fail to see how d3vils was disrespectful. Was it the fairy tales comment? If that's truly how he views religions, then you, in turn, are being disrespectful of his beliefs now, aren't you?

This is why I think prayer, like shitting, is best done in private or with a few choice people. A thread titled A PRAYER OF HOPE in a subforum that's intended to provide helpful information only results in a clusterfuck of arguments that bring us nowhere and only sows discord amongst DREAMers.

If anything, the original poster is the one who's being disrespectful of the other people on DAP. He's posted other threads like this one before, and they've always degenerated into pissing matches between the religious and irreligious.

As for the 'starving african children' part...
It's a question that all christians struggle with and simply do not know the answer to...
There are things that we will never know while we are still on Earth.

And about disagreeing with my 'unnecessary' comment, I never said your comment was unnecessary, just the way you stated it. There was no reason to shoot down the comments and beliefs so harshly.

The point is, why cant we all just get along. The O. P just wanted to encourage other dreamers, but people got off with comments like 'gross', 'prayer is dumb'. Yes freedom of speech, but we are here to get united and accepting ones point of view makes us diverse. Not hating/defaming....

No I don't hate Christians and no I was not raped by anyone when I was younger, but you are just full of LOL's aren't you?

But let me ask you a question, in the 1st page of this thread you said something along the lines of this.

Quote:
Shit i dont care what that flat asain girl thinks. I pray to Jesus! Praying does work fools, thats how I got a full ride (160,000 dollars) to a private school, because I had fatih and prayed! There was way smarter people who applied for that scholarship, but my God is real! Keep up ur praying bro, people will come against you but you have a powerful God named JESUS!!!
I'm just wondering though, why does your God grant your wishes but yet he allows millions of innocent children die everyday of hunger? Is it because they don't pray to him enough? Or what?

How does it feel to have such an egotistical god?

So you did get raped my a priest!? Lol Im just playing with you.

You know what; Some questions, I just dont have the knowledge to answer them. When one accepts Jesus as his/her savior then they can obtain riches in the world. For example, I've known people who came from like dirt poor conditions but God granted them riches that they couldnt achive without God.

Even christian folks who die of starvation/poverty, they die happy. They know they had nothing in this world, but a greater kingdom awaits them in heaven. (Christians)

I used to not believe in God also, I hated christians to be honest. I Really hated them and told them to f... of every time they bothered me. But one day God touched my life through a word of prophecy ( Gifts of the holy ghost), and Im like wow this God does know me (PM me if you want me to exlain it thoroughly). I began to weep like a little baby and now Im proud to say; I believe in Jesus!
