Not arrest, but detain.

Unfortunately, the Constitution does not apply where the BP is concerned...

If you claim to be a US citizen, and you are caught lying, you will be detained and deported.

Look up 212(a)(6)(C)(ii). A false claim of US citizenship will get you banned from the US forever, with no waiver available. It doesn't even matter if you claimed to be a US as a child, or if someone (like a parent) was the one that lied about your status.

Here's a story about a couple that was affected by this:

Does this pertain to only showing up someone else's documents? They need to be a bit more clear. Since talk is cheap and well we all know documents speak louder than words, heh.

Read it. Memorize it. Tattoo it on your forehead so everytime you look in the mirror, you remember.

My bad if I came across that way.

I'm just horrified by the downright criminal advice in this thread. "Just say you're a citizen!" is the worst possible advice you could give.

Horrendous stuff and could get a fellow DREAMie arrested, imprisoned, deported or worse.

Saying you a citizen is a bad idea even if you are a permanent resident and you claim to a immigration office or patrol agent you are a citizen and they prove your not they can strip your residency and of course if your illegal they will start deportation proceedings so saying you are a citizen is something no one should do.
