I think about my grand parents a lot and how hard there live was. They worked everyday and never had anything but there family. When I look at things through those lenses we are not that bad off. It feels that way sometimes but were are still fortunate.

Yea, I realize that during these times it is greatly important to be more unified with the family. It is family that will bring that support and strength.

I used to spend all day wishing i could do what i wanted. Mostly because i would see my friends going on about their life doing all the things i couldnt do. Im a very bashful and insecure person so me being undocumented is a huge burden in my life. My parents told me to never ever admit to anyone i was undocumented. For my own protection of course. it made me feel ashamed of my life. When my friends ask me why dont i drive yet i feel uncomfortable saying 'i donno i just havent got around to it'..then the akward silence follows. Thinking i need to get a job or something soon. I wanna FUCKING finish school already. ALL of that used to cross my mind and bother me alot. I was depressed because i saw everyone doing their own thing. Living their life happy in their own way. I realized i need to stop 'SEEING' the things everyone can do that i cant. it makes me want it more. i've come to learn how to 'LIVE WITH IT'. I believe good things will come to me in the future. WITHOUT A DOUBT. for now im a LOSER lol 4 now....

By hitting the gym..great stress reliever. Also looking forward to making connections. Anything is possible in this country. If you're able to get a degree from a college in America, you have what it takes to get a job. For now, you just need to find the loopholes and get them. Also, I've been staying current with the news and its clear that we have it much better than most people in this world.

By watching the history channel and realizing that the Nazis took so much from the Jewish people but the Jewish people keep their dignity until the end. By looking at Jesse Jackson Jr. and realizing that he is a decedent of slaves born into a ruling family. By looking at the union card my Grand Father got when he come to work in the Michigan plants building tanks for the Second world war under the bracero program. By listening to the stories of my other Grandpa about what San Antonio used to be in the 60's. By seeing how my 55 year old dad can still outwork any 20 year old and outsmart any structural engineer at the building department. By watching my mom work until she drops and then picks herself up and go clean the house. By watching my brother have a almost dumb hope that things will be better tomorrow than today. By driving in front of a home depot and having lunch with the guys who stand around there. By realizing that just by making all my bills on time I'm part of the richest people on the world. By walking into a trailer that we are about to demolish to build a home and remember that I grew up in one just like it. By waking up every day and saying to myself I'm healthy, I'm smart, I'm the all taking, breathing sh!# of the world. By confronting my situation and realizing that I have no better option that to keep fighting.
