The thing was i didnt have a copy of my transcript so I requested a brand new one from the school, it was dated on the day i requested it so I guess they took that as recent. Graduation year should be irrelevant.
Yay! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS EVER!

I REALLY hope this is the case for me too. I'd rather get a NJ license.

Do you mind if you tell me what DMV you used??? Because I'll just go to that one for good luck, lol. I'll just haggle my friends to give me a ride there. I know there are some DMVs that are more of a pain than others.

My transcript is dated for June 22, 2012 from when it was processed so I'm golden

I used the one in Lodi, which in my opinion isn't the best, rather used the one in Wayne.

I am just going to go to NY to get my DL since NJ is apparently a PITA, I went to a college in PA.

NJ firearm purchaser card........... I wonder what the requirements are to get that card. Could be something to look into! 3 points!

By the way, in my experience just because the person over the phone told you something about a strict requirement, does not mean that the attendee in person at the DMV will also be that strict, just like Ready_to_serve experienced.

There is no mention that the School/college ID can only be used within 2 years of graduation. Call another office, DMV tends to be a total mess with each office having their own rules.

Ive been going through the points system on the NJ MVC site and it doesnt say anything about transcripts having to be less than 2 years old.
I graduated high school 2 years ago but im in college now so should be all good.

No, the EAD and social security counts as three points together for non-U.S citizens.

Social security card is counted as 1 point for U.S citizens and those not using the EAD.

I actually went through this process before (but while I was in college so no issues with the DMV). EAD must be presented with social to count for three. If you present your EAD WITHOUT social, the EAD does not count towards the points.

Yeah, you're fine. I got a DL when I was in college. No issues.

Yeah, I'm trying to find the restriction on graduation date and I'm coming up with nothing so I'm going to cool off and just hit up every DMV until somebody accepts me, lol.
