I went up to WA this year and got a DL there. I moved back to my home state this month and left my current address as WA so I could keep the DL. Will this be an issue when I fill in the I-821d? Does this count as address fraud or something? Should I do the postal change of address and risk losing the DL or should I just leave it alone? When I show up for the biometrics I have a valid foreign passport that I can use instead of the DL but I would hate to cancel it and be without ID again. Any advice?

@Dreamer3ooo, postal change of address or forwarding your mail from your previous address is not a problem and will not get your DL canceled. My DL I got 4 years ago is still valid. You should be forward your address so you can still receive any important mail you may get at your old WA address.

My advice is, don't report the WA address on the I-821D form. I am not going to report mine, and If they question us about it, then we can report it. Either way, I know I am fine, I legitimately moved to the other state and stayed there for a bit when I got the DL. I think we are fine, and we don't need to stress over this nor report our DL from other states.

@Nexus, So you are not going to report your WA DL address on the I-821D Form right? if not, are they going to check it during the background check?

I'm going to report my WA address. I figure my name is going to pop out there so I rather be upfront about it than have them asking why I didn't tell them about it.

I have a new mexico DL, but might as well be the same thing. I've lived in several different locations anyways, my family moved around a lot during my time here in the USA. So all the space will be filled up so I conveniently won't have enough space to write my NM info.

Honestly I don't think it will be that big of a deal if we don't mention it, in my opinion they are more worried about a criminal background than anything else.

Thanks for the advice, I legitimately moved there too, I was there for the last 7 months. But I am still worried about it becuase I only have bank statements and my car insurance to prove I was here on the 15th and all of that stuff is based in WA. Also I have a "not valid for work" SSN and when they run that it might show that I lived in WA and hold a license there. So basically to prove I was here on the 15th I have to disclose my WA address.

I just moved back to CA last week so technically I can still cancel my WA DL by reporting it to them that I moved, I think that is the safest and right thing to do. The problem is that my parents dont see it that way, I got into a huge argument with them over this. They think I should report the WA address AND keep the DL. But doesn't that technically constitute fraud? I am worried that if I follow that advice it might show up when they check my form and disqualify me for fraud, maybe even press some sort of charges. I know I might be a little too paranoid but we only get one chance at this so I want to make sure I'm okay.

I am worried this as well. I got my DL, and for that you need proof of residency. So I really cannot lie. In order to get this, you need to show proof that live there like a utility bill. So I have a few bills under my name (not very relevant thought all since November 2011) just that bill. All my other bills, medical records, school records, some banks records have my current address that is not in Washington but the WA DL address is like 20 minutes from here, could I just say that I live in Washington but live here for school purposes?

So I saw someone posting something about Washing DL and DACA...

I tried to get Washington DL and failed...

I live in CA atm but I lived in Washington for two months with my family's friend, and I tried to get DL from Washington, but it didn't work out...

I provided my expired CA DL, school transcript, yearbook, and my bank statement(I had it delivered to where I lived in WA). They were all legit and legal documents.

I passed the license exam and had 30days paper license. I think they did fingerprint me. However, cuz it was hard to get classes, I came back to CA. My license didn't come though. I called DMV at Washington after my paper license expired and they told me that there's hold on my DL cuz I needed a second interview, but I never went since my school already started at CA by the time I called them... This was 2 yrs ago.

Do you think I would be alrite?

I hope I don't need a lawyer cuz I really can't afford them.
