I think you just need to be a little more stern. Tell them your filling out some immigration paperwork that requires proof of your being in the United States for awhile. After they hear that, they'll help you (especially if your friendly towards them and persistent.)

I have official transcripts from both my high school and college, and I don't think they're allowed to withhold official transcripts from you.

I have a question on about I need. Yesterday I went to my old high school to get my transcript, but that only shows my classes in HS that I was in for 4 years and I have been in the US for 9 years. Will it be okay for me to go back and ask for my School records ? Because that's showing more proof that I have been in the US.

So when my unofficial transcript came in the mail, all i got was ONE piece of paper with my grades and all the classes i took all 4 yrs of HS. Is this how transcripts are supposed to look?? should i be concerned?
I am a college student from NYC. When I went to get my transcripts from college and from high school, they asked if I want official or unofficial. I asked the difference between the two and they said it is the exact same piece of paper, the only difference is that the official one gets placed in an envelope, stamped by the school and sent directly to an institution where you need it to go so that way a student can not tamper with the data on it. Obviously in this case we need the transcript sent to us, so you are better off asking for an unofficial transcript. I promise you it is the exact same piece of paper once you take it out of the envelope.

In my case, I requested an unofficial one sent to my house, and then I also asked for an official one and they said to provide them with an address that it needs to go to. I simply said I need it to bring to a lawyer, and immediately they said oh okay so I can send it to your house or to the lawyer. Just reason with them, it's not a big deal... But it is certainly the same as an unofficial transcript.

Best of luck to you!
