If things get really bad there could be a lot of case transfers in between USCIS service centers to distribute the load, but I still doubt that the process will take more than six months when the reviewing of form i-765 is limited to 3 months max and i-821 forms and its variants aren't exactly that different.

Anyway, in a few days/weeks we should be seeing official processing times for our forms on this page

Even the Visa numbers that are current takes months to get the adjustment approved. What happens after those 3 months?

i apologize for what i said. i didnt mean to say that. i know that youve been waiting for something to happen in your end, but unfortunately things didnt turn out the way you wanted. Dont worry, we'll still fight a good fight. The next time, all Dreamers will be included.

Not a problem. There have been people waiting from 1983 till present time. Thats a lot of suffering.

VISAs are different beasts and the waiting times vary greatly depending on your immigrant category (look at my signature xD). For DACA beneficiaries the delays will come from form i-821d, to which the evidence is attached. I am not even concerned about i-765.

Yep, I'll be watching the case processing page like a hawk on ritalin. Once i-821d appears in there the times will be pretty consistent.

I think you DACA has more chances to be approved before that 16 year wait.

My gut feeling says 3-4 months, but with the worst case scenario being 6-8+ months, I wouldn't even worry about receiving a working permit at that point and just continue on with this dead-end job that I have.

The $465 application fee is to underwrite the additional staff and the costs of processing the applicants. In some few and limited cases, the fee might be waived for very deserving cases. The cost of the new program for the more than a million youth who are expected to apply will cost more than $585 million and require the hiring of 1,400 new employees by the federal government, according to the Associated Press. No taxpayer dollars will fund the program.
