Btw, are Native Americans really citizens?? I thought they have tribal cards and are understood to have all of the benefits of citizenship.

Yea I'm pretty sure the person, who posted this is referring to Indians from the country of India. Mexicans have indigenous blood. People often ask me where my name is from, and I typically say its "Native American " and they like "ohh really and what tribe?" I proudly say Mayan. Because the Aztecs, Mayans ect were Native American as well. White folks always get amazed, when I tell them my name is Mayan.

I just thought it was funny about what the other guy said because, I didn't know if he was being ironic. But now, I know people still confuse Indigenous people with Indians just like Christopher Columbus did.

I am Desi from the state of Gujarat bros/desi-girls. Although I love our family and intellectual beliefs, I don't have pride for India (the country's structure and life). Too much poverty and corruption.

This is the Indian anthem translated into English:

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Shindhu,
Gujarat and Maratha,
Of the Dravida and Orissa and Bangla;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganges and is
chanted by the waves of the Indian Ocean.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
Thou dispenser of India's destiny.
victory forever.

(Bear in mind that most Indians are religious)

So just how sure are you that you are Maya or Aztec? You know there are literally hundreds of indigenous tribes in Mexico not just Maya and Aztec. Perpechua, Cochimi, Triki, Huichol, and Tarahumara are just a few that come from the top of my head. I hate how most Mexicans always think they are Aztec.
