It's never too late to pay back taxes, the IRS will love to hear from you. However, I'm pretty sure you're gonna screw yourself up if you decide not to report this in the future, especially when it comes to adjusting status, like someone else said: IRS won't be as forgiving as USCIS.

For the time being, I suggest you put your true salary (don't lie in your application!), get an ITIN and visit a tax center, probably a community-based one such as neighborhood centers when they open in January, and tell them the problem. It should be fixed before anything like DREAM Act/CIR comes up

Solid advice. Thanks. Taxes wasnt my biggest worry because i will pay first chance i get. I just dont want them to say i make too much. Or that my lack of taxes somehow makes me ineligible.

Great advice. Thanks! If i get my EAD i wont need an ITIN. Ill pay all my taxes with my SSN. I just dont want to disqualify myself for not having paid taxes or making above 'minimum'.

OP, Since you are not using a fake SS/ITIN, and you are straight up being paid cash, you DO NOT have to list that big of an amount on the worksheet. Put something but a smaller number and write down expenses that are equal or more than that amount. YOu will be fine.

This.

When I first read this thread I thought it was one of the most ridiculous things I've read on here. OP makes 29k but has no idea what a ITIN is. I first thought does this guy sell crack? seriously wtf.

Now, some idiots here are telling OP to lie, well that's putting you in a lot of trouble right there. EVERYONE here has to tell the truth, you lie then gtfo. Is your bank account under your name? if you put $0-10k then you are pretty much setting yourself up.

I think you are the first person I've read about that works and doesn't pay taxes. Like the above poster said, the IRS will come after you. Since you don't pay taxes then I'm sure you have a lot of money saved up so just be ready to start paying back.

They will check his bank account. They will say: where is this guy getting all this money from? where is he getting all these money to pay for all these expenses?

Come on, if people seriously think you can outsmart them then you are wrong. Like I said, use the TRUTH, don't lie, you will regret it later. I guarantee it.

ITIN means Individual Taxpayer Identification Number which the IRS provides to individuals who work in the US and do not have a valid SSN. ITIN's are for federal tax reporting only, and doesn't authorize work in the US. You get it by filing form W-7. Since IRS considers you to be a self employed individual, when you file your taxes you could report all your cash/personal checks earning for the year using form 1040, Schedule C, Schedule SE. You generally end up paying 13.3% for self employment tax. The tax money is used to pay benefits for: Retirement benefits ; disability benefits; Survivors of workers who have died benefits; and Dependents of beneficiaries.
