Pick up a 2000-2003 BMW 3-Series. Best bang for the buck while retaining german engineering and luxury. Plus awesome support on the BMW forums, lots of DIY's.

Yea thats a good range. Check Craigslist you can get a 2003 or 2004 honda. get one with less than 120k miles and you'll be good.

I am looking for something similar, But I want a 4door.

Man, I love that Honda Accord Coupe! And it's def beyond my reach :/ But I think I might end up with an '06-'10 Civic depending on how much I'm able to save and how quickly I need the car (even though it's like 5 years overdue). But you never know, maybe I might end up with a Corolla. On second thought, forget that. I have to get the Civic

I will still walk 3 miles to my office as usual. No money for a new car
I have this cargo van, but it uses too much fuel.
