We arrived August 11, 1989. I was 5, and now I am 30 years old.

After 25years, DACA still brings me to tears.

23 years. Feels bad dude. My dad has been LPR since the early 90s I should not have had to fight this long.

17 years! it's a huge relief. i remember when i first realized that my life was going to be different than others, in sophomore year of hs when all my friends started getting driving permits. i hated myself and i became depressed and almost suicidal... thankfully i've had a great support system and DACA came right in time for me to start my career cuz i just graduated with my BS in nursing in August!

i was always wary before because i hated being asked "why dont you drive?; why can't you go to the bar?". i can finally COMFORTABLY meet new people and friends without having to hide the fact that i cant drive, dont have an id to do things with them, etc.

22 years today actually, I came October 19, 1990. I didn't even realize it was my anniversary until I saw this thread. I hope to use Daca to build a better life regardless of my status in this country.

That's harsh, why didn't he file when you were a minor?

Been here well over 10 years and honestly, don't take any immigrant seriously until they've lived here at least 5 years.

If you were 5 in 1989, aren't you supposed to be 28 now?
