i am also very interested in this. I was a EWI and approved for DACA. however, South Korea wont give passport to my brother and I since we have a mandatory military service. Not sure how it works but unless we are escorted out to Korea, passport wont be given to us unless we are citizen of United States. My stupid question is after getting AP, can we travel to Canada or Mexico with expired passport? is this even possible?

Can someone please tell me how to apply. I just got a text from my stepsister that my dad is very sick and I think I want to apply. I haven't seen him in a long time and I would like to go. Help please.

Anyways, congrants on getting back to US. Since you're no longer EWI you can adjust status, do it.

File form I-131. Cost is 360 dollars.

In part 2 check box D.
Fill out part 3 questions 1, 2, and 3.
Answer question 1 in part 7.

I thought someone from South Korea would have come in legally? AP and a travel document is still [required before any individual can leave or enter the United States internationally. There are some basic questions answered for AP here.It would depend on the purpose for which AP is being sought. Most individuals thus far have done so for humanitarian purposes while I saw only one mentioned for school and another business.

New - Q2: May I travel outside of the United States before USCIS has determined whether to defer action in my case?
A2: No. After Aug. 15, 2012, if you travel outside of the United States before USCIS has determined whether to defer action in your case, you will not be considered for deferred action under this process. If USCIS defers action in your case, you will be permitted to travel outside of the United States only if you apply for and receive advance parole from USCIS.

Any travel outside of the United States that occurred on or after June 15, 2007, but before Aug. 15, 2012, will be assessed by USCIS to determine whether the travel qualifies as brief, casual and innocent. (See below.)

You should be aware that if you have been ordered deported or removed, and you then leave the United States, your departure will likely result in your being considered deported or removed, with potentially serious future immigration consequences.

I would suggest following the instructions on USCIS and if you have further inquiry do so by posting a separate thread. The time period they give seems to be traditionally very short though for Humanitarian purposes.

You will need travel documents to enter your home country, check with your consulate, they can issue you a passport or entry papers if it is shorter notice.

EDIT:

Check with the consulate website, there will be info on what documents you need to present in order to get travel documents, the wait times for passports, and options if you need to immediately go to your home country

This person traveled under humanitarian reasons because she went to go visit a sick relative. You will have to provide evidence of this when applying for Advance Parole, like a letter from the sick relatives doctor or medical records of their condition. You would also have to show evidence if you wanted to travel under business or educational reasons.

Once she was granted Advance Parole, she was able to leave the country without triggering the 3/10 year bar from re-entry because she left with permission and therefore her prior Unlawful Presence had no effect on her departure.

When she came back to the United States, she came back with the Advance Parole document, which means that she was able to be paroled back into the United States and she was admitted back in lawfully, unlike her prior entry, which was Entry Without Inspection.

Since she was able to enter lawfully with Advance Parole, she can now adjust her status as if she had entered with a VISA.
so that erases all her prior illegal presence since she re-entered legally aith Advance parole???

No, not illegal presence, just illegal entry. You can overstay a visa 50 years and adjust via marriage. You can't adjust via marriage if you entered US illegally. Since she's been paroled back into US, she has legal arrival. For adjustment purposes it's the same as if she overstayed a visa.
