But well, back to my original topic, does anybody have any other possibilities pertaining to a better life whether that be outside the U.S...being able to rub this "illegal" stamp from your hand? you know basically not affecting your future significantly? whether it be in 10 years or more...And hmm another question...isnt anybody else here in a time constraint either? i mean...am i really the oldest one here xP...i'm 20 years old...how i see it once 25...if i don't have some sort of legal status i'll nothing more then an educated illegal working for minimum wage. I couldnt understand anybody wanting to stay for that to come unless they have a shot at legal status, whether is find a legal partner to marry or yeah.
um....i'm 24...anyone top that?

So when you leave, there is no coming back for permananet residency here EVER?

Like say you go to the UK or Canada and get a degree that's in high demand like say anything medicine related. They STILL won't let you in even after 10 years?

Man if that's the case then, damn what a fcking system. Penalize people for being brought here without a choice and keep needed educated workers from immigrating.

Hi I"ve been here 5 years came on a tourist visa it expired last yr and I hate it, I too don't want to wait I hate it here, I feel so trapped I can't do shit I'm a senior in highschool I'm 17 yrs old I'm leaving after I graduate from highschool but before I turn 18 because supposedly the ten yr ban won't apply? who knows. My plan is to leave go to my country the place I never wanted to leave in the first place go to medschool there while waiting for my parents to petition me because supposedly they'll be legal in a year or so...and if that works then I'll come here after 5 1/2 (bcuz med skool there takes a lot less) I'll work here, save $$ and then go back and live there happily ever after.
Yeah, so that/s my plan. maybe u can do the same thing i don't know.

Dream was made for children of undocumented workers that immigrated to the united states after the 1986 CIR, in five years wouldn't we age out of dream, in five years I will be 28. I know a lot of dreamers are facing aging out of the legislation.

If they're going to make you wait, then we can't let them put the age limit in.

I do not understand why republicans candidates even think that 12 million undocumented residents of the U.S. will pack their bags and leave the country with out any guarantee of being able to come back legally??????????? If a republicans does win the white house, I hope congress is smart enough not to pass CIR that makes us all leave with out the guarantee of legal status!!!!!!!!!!!

I know for a fact this is true in a lot of places.

Even a masters from here is regarded as only as slightly better than one from my birth country. A PhD from here is worth a lot.
Yeah, really, a bachelors is good enough to get by. Being multi-lingual and educated in American affairs is a plus. I bet I can get some international job back at my country if it really comes to that. I hope not though... I wanna be here and not there.

ok. let's see if i can answer some of the unanswered questions.

-there are exceptions to the 10yr ban. if leaving the county causes great harm to a US citizen, then I think they let you get off on that. but it's really, really hard to make the case for it. Leaving a kid alone here isn't good enough.

-As i understand it, if you leave this country before you turn 19, there's no 10 yr ban, it's only 3.

-I believe the oldest person here (and in our status) is lutier and he was 28 when they voted. he might be 29 now. I'm starting to get worried about him cause I haven't seen him post in a while.

^I think lutier ages out in less than a year - one of the reasons why we were pushing so hard two months ago.

As far as the whole "leaving to avoid the ban" thing goes, what makes you think you'll get in a second time? Not being banned is one thing, getting a visa is something completely different. The chances of an 18 year old person from any country getting a visa are slim to none.
