I felt the exact same way back in 2010. That was when i felt most depressed. I'm glad to have passed that point. I don't know how I got over it but I did. Just stay strong and don't do anything rash...

I don't know where you are obtaining your information about who is going to win, but it is too early to say.

Also, a lot of the polls are in someways biased.
(Although it has gotten much better)
Remember the election (if my memory serves me right) - Truman & Dewey?
The polls consisted of biased data (selection bias, incidental truncation to be exact) and totally predicted the election wrong.

If it makes you feel any better, I attended an econometrics seminar in California (somewhere in Irvine) and there was an economist who had predicted all the elections correct except one (I believe it was sometime in the 80's) since the 70's (using econometric models). He predicted Clinton would win the democratic nomination and Trump would win the Republican one. At the end however, Clinton beat out trump by ~ 7% (with some standard error, i don't remember).

However, this was back in January of 2016. A lot of things have changed since then, and a lot will change from now.

But, my point is - don't be swayed by what the media says or publishes. Try to be more optimistic, cause what's feeling depressed going to achieve?

Well, this election is basically Hitler v. Nixon.

Looks like Sanders may have a chance after winning Indiana.

Piano,

I honestly don't think my country of birth is a failing nation. But I won't self deport because that means I need to assimilate to my home country. I want to stay here because I am an American.

Not everybody came to America for a better life, some were just bought here against their will, hence DREAMERS. Throughout time, we became Americans.

In other words, not every country out there is a failing nation.

Drumpf, reminds me of Hitler after losing WWI trying to make Deutschiland Great Again..
The outcome was WWII and many innocent lives were perished..
Since then, the World leaders came together to make the World great for the first time.
Many World Organizations were formed to work together on issues without killing each other.
Just because America is suffering (not really I don't think, WTF all the problems were caused from Wall Street, Corporations and greedy a-holes within America), we are trying to blame our problems to other nations like Hitler did, and this is beyond scary.

I thought we were strong, level headed, knowledgeable with what's happening around the World but I completely wrong. Most of Americans are clueless of what's going on in the World and how we got to this point. We are so interconnected with other nations we can't survive alone.

People just don't get it and I'm scared to death.

The problem here is that despite what you think or feel. You're not an American maybe spirituality but not in paper. At the end of the day, you're just like many of us here who decided to stay here because life was good and got even better with DACA. There is nothing wrong with this at all. But it's that sense that trump will accept you as a fellow American that confuses me and even makes me laugh. You really think Trump after spending his campaign blaming illegal aliens you know us and our parents for all of this country problems, even as far as to proclaim building a wall. You really think at the last minute he's just going to retract everything he has been building his reputation just to say " and people like you I welcome you to this country as a fellow American because at the end of the day all you need to be a real American is to believe you are one ".

And yes your homeland and my homeland are failing nations. Why would you be here if it wasn't ? Why would you even come here if it wasn't why didn't your parents? Now would life be over if we all got deported right now ? Maybe for some here who stubbornly want to believe themselves to be 100% legal Americans ( USC) but for the rest of us. It would be a hard thing to adapt but we wouldn't die.

The best thing to do is work as hard as you can raise money secure all that you need to secure and be ready as you can to what happens. Who knows if trump will win? Even if he does he won't be deporting our booties anytime soon. I imagine he would make it harder for us to live here first.

I just asked my Father why we came to America. He said because he wanted me to be bilingual, and for him to learn English as well. The idea was for me to finish HS here and go back to Colombia.

I came from a mid class neighborhood and private school, and downgraded to a ghetto city here in America. Really, I came for a better life? I was smarter than everybody in public school and there was more drugs in this city than where I came from. Unbelievable.

So no, I did not came here for a better life, I came here against my will and that's what DREAMERS are. I fell in love with this country, I assimilated and still love my roots.

As in for Trump, I disagree with the way he has been talking about illegals, and I said this on other posts, he is spreading xenophia. I honestly think he will change his stand and help those like us DREAMERS, and illegals that help this country better.

It's either Trump or Sanders. If you choose Hilton just because you're illegal, you need to re think and see where you live. She will screw up this country.

Finally, I'm not a white Hispanic, I'm brown, indigenous.

As some have stated , make the best of what you got. I know sometimes is hard however unless you make "dumb" decisions, (like I have) things can't be that bad compare to a life outside here (USA).

have you gotten approved yet?
