I dont expect 11 million people to be legalized. However, throwing parents of US citizens under the bus is pathetic. Democrats would never vote for this, it would lower their base.
I can tell you how many people here in this forum are better than everyone else.

But that is not my point. You are putting words in my mouth. I never said to throw parents under the bus. Also, you are assuming that the parents will be deported. How do you know that the bill that is proposed may covered those parents? You are making assumptions and not stating any facts. You remind me of those people who thought DACA was going to end on Trump's inauguration day.

Once again if we do not compromise say good bye to any deals what so ever.

The guy that says " You are putting words in my mouth" just tried to put words in my mouth. At what point did I say they would be deported?

We do have to compromise. That does not mean we should come up in the short end of the deal.

Since you REPLY to me, that comment was directed to me. Nobody said we were going to throw parents under the bus.

So by saying Throwing parents under the bus, what did that meant? Since you are saying you did not say they will be deported, so what will happen to them? Care to explain what throwing parents under the bus means?

Perdue argued that lawmakers should begin addressing immigration in easier-to-manage “components.”

“We are simply trying today to bring a rational, compassionate approach to this different issue within the immigration conversation,” he said. “What you see today, we hope, is the beginning of a new approach.”

The Senate previously passed a wide-ranging immigration reform bill in 2013, but that measure stalled in the House.

Perdue said Tuesday that he believes Democrats could support the “ethos of the bill.”

“We’re hopeful that we’ll see this bill on the floor of the Senate this year,” he said.

I think they deserve Citizenship. A work permit would not be sufficient. I think it's the right thing to do for people that have been here 20+ years. I'm an only child btw, so my parents would not even qualify for this.

I agree, but people in that situation who are awaiting green cards because of their sons or daughters should fall in the same category of the CIR (I am hoping), if not then us Undocumented people would cut in front of them which would look bad.

How would you know I am Argentinian if you're not Chyno?

Awesome news!

When do you think that would be? Tomorrow, next week?
