Pretty much - even GC can lose their status if they do certain crimes. GC holders were denied entry back to the USA few weeks ago and dreamers here think they're untouchable lmao

Those green card holders were from certain countries which trump banned people from.

Can you please get your facts straight.

Doesn't matter if they were from certain countries. They had a green card which is miles above what we have

Your missing the point.

The very fact that you can began to deny entry, or detain LPR residences of the U.S., regardless of their country of origin or where they maybe traveling back from, is an alarming precedence and erodes the status of LPRs as a whole.

Under current law, INA 2013: sec 237, even if a LPR is convicted of criminal offenses, they could still re-enter, but would then be subject to an Immigration Hearing before having their LPR status revoked.

This is not what the EO does - quite the opposite. And it should be troubling to everyone. If they can get away with this, then they are at complete liberty to do a lot worse to thoes without any legal status.

That's making assumptions based on a act. Same argument republicans do when Obama says he wants to restrict gun laws. Republicans say that by Obama putting a new law into effect he will come out and take the guns out of all people.

Same idea, making assumptions based on an act. You're assuming GC holders will start getting denied because trump denied entry to GC from a specific country.

No we are not. It's all very technical what we are saying. You're saying "because they were from specific countries it makes it okay for trump to do this and because no one of us are from those countries we are safe!!" The fact that federal courts stopped trump in his tracks tells us what his EO did was very illegal. And if trump thought he could go after GC what makes you think he couldn't (couldn't NOT will) the same with us ?
