I am so sorry for your loss Jaylove16, I understand what you are going through because I lost my brother to cancer 10 years ago and I couldn't be with him during his last days either :/. It is a heartbreaking situation but please try to be strong and keep your head up. Think of your other family members that you still have that are worth fighting for. If you need emotional support or just vent, please PM me or anyone, we are in this together.

The sad part is I can’t even go back for his funeral now . I don’t know what to do? I feel guilty and distressed! I don’t know what I’m going to do now.
I'm very sorry for your loss, bawler. Praying for you and your family, bro.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my brother 10 years ago and could not attend his funeral either

Life is a mysterious concoction of weird events, and things out of our control sometimes just happen.

There's a poem that I often read that makes me feel a bit better I wanted to share with you:

Quote:
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I have seen several of my family members go through the same experience. Please do not consider going back because not only did you lose your father but all your fight in this country would be for nothing. Please be patient because he would want you to stay and if we are given the chance, you will go back to visit him soon.

There is nothing more difficult than losing a loved one, specially if you didnt get a chance to see him for such a long time. Something similar happened to my parents, they were in teh USA for 12 years and not seen my brother. My brother had a car accident and dies when he was 18 years old back in my country, my parents didnt get a chance to see him alive

Do not feel guilty, the circumstances were not at all under your control. Just know that your father would like for you to live without guilt and knows that from the bottom of your heart you would have seen him if it had been on your control. There isnt anything better you can do than move forward and do the best for you and be at peace. That would be the best you could do for your father.

Sorry for your lost man. I know it's not the same but maybe you can FaceTime the funeral with family.
