Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows says he thinks Republicans would need at least 90 Democratic votes to pass a deal with the caps increases and a debt limit raise in the House.

(They could need more, honestly.)

Rep. Luis Gutierrez says if Pelosi asked for Democrats to support a caps deal without a DACA agreement, that would be “a complete betrayal.”

He says he might not ever go to another Democratic Caucus breakfast if that were the case.

Wow , spineless Dems for you . They are cowards if they allow this to pass the House. It was reported on cnn that Lindsey Graham said he’s pessimistic they are going to get a daca bill passed.

Which is to say that Speaker Paul Ryan, who supports the package, will likely rely on House Democrats to seal the deal. And that poses its own problem: House Democratic leadership has been adamant that it won’t agree to any spending measure that fails to address the fate of those enrolled in the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. All eyes now are on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi—and whether she’ll heed any call from Schumer to fall in line.

We'll see what Pelosi does now..

That's pretty much a betrayal. But then Reps don't need the entire Dem caucus so as long they can get some support. The only way to resist is for the House Dems to unify. But then they are just too weak.

So this is pretty much the democrats giving up all leverage right? If they vote for this, is the budget set for 2018?

This is what I don't understand. If someone could explain that, then it'd be greatly appreciated.

Yes, if they vote for it, all budget leverage/deal will be off the table. Our fates will be left to Republicans' good grace.

I am, along with those of us who are capable of critical thinking. Not all of us are brain-dead, snowflake liberals... We're fairly rational.
