I don’t expire until 4/2020, but after consulting with my lawyer I decided to send in for another renewal. It was mailed on 7/10/18 and I saw they cashed the check yesterday, I have not received anything in the mail yet. Who knows what will happen with the Texas ruling against us, but I was fine with spending the money for renewal and paying my lawyer.

I think some people do it just to have someone to blame in case they get denied because there is really no reason to pay one. They are simple forms. I expire in 3/2020, but wont be sending in a renewal until 3/2019

It's called a Circuit Split - which means that Hanen's ruling will apply to LA, MS, and TX. Hence - something I'm worried about
Hanen is going to stay his own injunction for 2 weeks until Sessions gets the conflicting injunctions up to the Supreme Court. Then acccording to Sessions’ plan, the Supreme Court will stay ALL injunctions including the ones from the 9th circuit and the 4th circuit which means no renewals or new applications.

Basically Hanen’s injunction won’t go into effect and it’s only used create the circuit split and force the issue to the Supreme Court

What is the approximate timeline?

I’m there are any issues I’d rather have my lawyer resolve it given the immigration system. Just a peace of mind for me.

Hey, if you could let us know how the process goes. I expire 3/2020, and am planning to send mine in quite soon as well.

So you submitted a renewal app after having renewed about ~3 months ago?

Yes, given the upcoming Texas lawsuit I figured if they decide to wind down the program then if my application is in the queue perhaps I can get a little more time on my EAD.
