You guys who support Trump or have faith in him should ask yourself why he wants SCOTUS to end daca before he tries to negotiate on it. He is going to make unreasonable demands in exchange for protecting us that’s why . He doesn’t give a fuck about us lol.

This shutdown is headed for a long stretch. People WILL be affected by this shutdown unlike the previous one where it only lasted 2 days before Dems caved. It would be bad optics if word gets out that Dems are asking for DACA in order to end the shutdown, that's why they caved so easily the last shutdown before anyone could be affected.

so if republicans don't propose a DACA for wall deal, then dems won't either because the narrative immediately shifts to dems shutdown the government over illegals.

When SOCTUS either takes or doesn't take the DACA case, does trump have his wall or not? If no, DACA for wall is still a possibility. If he does, it's bad for DACA (not sure what dems got in exchange for the wall, kinda hard to imagine).

This is a very important week.

My prediction: shutdown ends before Friday. Sorry, but government is heading third week shutdown. Not many Senators can hold this long.
