Got my bio letter today! For Nov 6th, surprised its within 2 weeks! Still cant check online status :/

To be honest I wasn't going to apply for anything until after the election, but a close friend who doesn't qualify for the DREAM Act changed my mind.

So here I am, waiting.

Dream Act hasn't been approved in congress since 2001 when it was introduced. You must mean Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). May I ask why you wanted to apply after the election and not before? If your in HS I understand, but life gets rough after HS and without a legal way of working it gets really tough.

Yes, I meant DACA. Sorry about that. I wanted to wait until the election because all of this sounds too good to be true. I've been following the DREAM Act since 2001 when it was first introduced and after so many disappointments it feels weird to achieve to some extent what we all have been fighting for.

Also, I wanted to see what the winner of the election is going to do with the whole DACA program. I hope this doesn't happen, but just as the president had the authority to give us this, he also has the authority to take it away any day he wants. I don't feel comfortable being in the hands of a single person. That's why I'm ready to go under the shadows if necessary.

Sent my application yesterday 10/23/12, arrived today 10/24/12 with proof of delivery at the Chicago lockbox. The waiting game begins. i hope everything goes smooth for me. Good luck everyone else!

You sir have just caused USCIS site to become jammed, since I have the same timeline as yourself I will now keep checking the site every minute,lol. Congratulations and thanks for keeping us updated I guess every time I get a text I will be on the lookout for one from USCIS
