I will call USCIS later today.
My application was accepted on April 5th. No approval as of yet. I expired 8/17. I really hate this.

I wouldn't believe any date that USCIS gives us. It's apparent they are getting through the bulk of March April and May applications, but there will always be some cases that take longer to adjudicate for whatever reason. This is why they tell us to apply within 150-120 days before expiration. So maybe as they are recovering these corrupted applications some are just taking longer to process, as they perhaps would have.

Just talked to a tier II immigration officer and they told me that my background check has not gone through because of the FBI and that I just need to wait. I did my bios 124 days ago. I think we ALL should change strategy and instead of bombarding USCIS with calls we should call the white house. On June 15 2012 Barack Obama implemented this program and now hundreds of thousands young professionals with great careers are losing their jobs, defaulting on loans etc... This would be the worst way to leave as a president knowing that you gave an opportunity to dreamers and because of your inability to execute the law we will all have to go through these tough times

100% USCIS's fault not Obama's.

They could have avoided this by giving us expedites for DACA recipients or at least temporarily extending those that are about to expire.

I have no idea why both these options are left off the table

Yes this is getting out of hand. I am up for calling the white house or sending letters to Obama. We need to bring this up to his attention.

I wonder if it's true or just another excuse. How is it that other applications are being approved just fine (even months before expiration). How is the FBI able to get through those applications so quickly and not those submitted months ago?

No doubt in my mind that it's an excuse. A background check can't possibly take longer especially since most people here don't have a criminal history or left the country since their previous renewal.

Yes, I'm thinking the issue is not so much related to any substantive issue with background checks. Perhaps this is related to the technical aspects of running a background check. Maybe data was not sent properly or some other glitch.

Has anyone had any issues with another name used? That needed to be disclosed on the DACA application and I believe also at the ASCs.

I wish they were more transparent with us. I guess we can only wait

I'm not even sure if that April 2nd date is correct. Sigh... I really wish there was a way to make them more accountable for their actions.
I got March 25th. Their website said March 16th last time I checked. It's obvious USCIS people are just throwing random dates out there. I read a comment on here that I completely agree with. This wouldn't be happening to American Citizens. Just imagine the media coverage something like this would get.
