I GOT IT! The day after Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful. I received the letter that I was granted deferred action, a letter approving my EAD, and a separate envelope with the EAD card in it on the same day. YES! Have faith, ya'll that are still waiting. I checked like two days before I received my EAD and my case was still on "Initial Review," two days later, it was on the last and final circle. My sister's stuff got sent like 2 weeks before me and she got approved after me. She called today to ask about her status and they told her she got approved today.
I was on a roll today and went to my local Social Security Admin office, got a ticket number to wait for a SSN card for NEW recipients. All I needed to bring was my EAD card, original birth certificate, and matricula. They gave me a receipt and told me DACA people, in TX at least, are waiting longer than usual so I might get my SSN card in like 2-3 weeks. I drover over to my local DPS office and asked what I would need for ID and license. I could've gotten my ID today! I needed my EAD card, two letters/bills under my name (I don't have anything under my name except the USCIS government letters, bank letters and college transcript they said they'd accept as proof of address), and SSN.

Have any of y'all actually called USCIS to ask for an update? Or an answer?
What does USCIS tell you?!

hello everyone, I've been following this thread for some weeks now since I sent out my application on 10/24/2012.

I did a walk-in for my biometrics on 11/21/2012 (the appointment was for 12/12/2012) however I received another ASC appointment notice today (notice sent date 11/22/2012 - that's one day after I had my biometrics walk-in) saying the date and time of appointment is 12/20/2012. It is different from the first appointment letter I received because it does not have the two barcodes in the bottom (for I821D and I765), it doesn't have the application number either, but it does have a TCR number (which I googled and it meant transmission control request for uscis) on the letter. Has this happened to anyone here before? Should I still go on the 20th for another fingerprint? Also I noticed some people have been checking their status using "lin#", but i have not been able to find that in any of my receipts, can anyone help me with that also? Thank you in advance!

I was only able to find one thing for TCR and that it was the FBI identifier, If your not far away from the center I would walk in and check what it means or call the customer service phone number.
