I see that "because renewal requests typically must be submitted within one year of the expiration date of your last period of deferred action approved under DACA" in

https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/d...ary-injunction

Mine will expire in 2019 Jan, which is 11 months away from now. Should I apply for renewal since it is less than one year of the expiration date?

I'll be honest and say I did not include them at all and they've always used the picture taken for the EAD.

So if I buy the money order. And the application gets sent back...what happens to the money order? How do I get my money back?

Get a cashier's check from your bank. They will have record of it if it gets cashed, or if anything goes wrong, you can request a refund straight into your bank account.

I didn't have a problem with getting a cashier's check from my bank for my last renewal. I feel it's more secure than personal checks.

Many banks will charge a fee for a cashier's check. It's not a huge amount of money, but be aware. I'm using a personal check.

My expiration date is August 7th, 2018. I sent in my renewal today but hoping congress passes something so that we can have peace of mind.

Many will waive the fee if you ask them in person.
