SSA Rep would of said something, only LP doc provided was EAD, they know what to do. (Crosses Fingers)
Well that's irresponsible as fuck on their part xD, but then they aren't exactly following the process correctly, otherwise you guys wouldn't be waiting this long. Good luck to you guise. Tomorrow morning is my turn to dig myself into a hole, lololol

In their eyes if you bring in a EAD you're Legal. It was up to USCIS to make that determination. On paper we might not be yet, but that is just technicalities.

Yes, because of the assumption that you obtained an EAD by entering the country legally as a worker or your spouse filed a i-765 along with i-485, but that's exactly the problem with them--they get used to doing things the same way. They shouldn't make assumptions because it leads to mistakes and delays. Yesterday's lady didn't even know what DACA was.

Well all they do is send in your A# with some Biographical information to USCIS. Beyond that SSA is not immigration, don't expect them to know every single thing about it either.

I remember on Monday I talked to one SSA rep on the phone and he told me, "remember once you get your Green Card in the mail you have to come back so we can update your file'... I LOL because he figured I was I485+I765.

I'm not sure, but at the bottom page it says Field Office Manager?

He said he'd keep checking for my clearance, and he'd call me when it was ready.
Yeah surprisingly the office was really nice and only a 40 minute wait.
