PEOPLE !!!!.....
i am shocked to find out that our applications are not being process by the order they were received..but instead by the number they were assined...some people who sent their apps after mine have earlier assigned case #s now i know why some who sent their apps earlier have not receive an approval!!!!! I am so annoyed!!!! Why couldnt they just have done it by order the applications were received!!!!????? Wtf!!!???? here i am thinking something must be wrong!!! Worst part they dont tell us this when we call that 1-800 number....they have no answer to our questions...well there i solved it...one night's research inputting WAC #s before mine and after mine! Yes i am that stressed!!!

Applications are reviewed by an adjudicator after your biometrics and all background checks have cleared. If you are still waiting, they are still waiting to clarify something that came up during the background check.

We've been over this several times. Applications are not processed in the order in which they are received, but the order in which your biometric results clear.

Ummm i extremely doubt that since i just spent hours looking up application status! Either way what i found out puts an ease in my mind...been asking and looking for answers...i know for a fact nothing came up in my background check...people that sent their apps after mine did their bio weeks after i did and still got approved before me...anyways my answer satisfies me since my plan to enroll into my CNA course in the Spring has gone down the drain due to the uncertainty of when i will be approved!!! so thank for your explanation

Read this. A mother of a DACA applicant went to a service center and got that information from people working there. So, if you have not been approved they are waiting to clarify something that came up in your background check. It could be anything: another person that has a similar name to yours, your name but in a different combination, etc. This is an earlier post I wrote on why we're experiencing longer than usual wait times.

The name check and biometrics are the only logical answers as to why some people are approved within days and other people have been waiting for months.

Thanks....i find it irritating that this mother had to go all the way to the service center to get this information! My service center is 3-4 hours away from where i live...ive asked so many questions in every different way over the phone. They should provide this kind of information!!! That name similarities and what not is a big deal i should know had alot of trouble in high school because of same name and last name althought it was like u said different combination!!!
Thanx, just sucks the wait some have to wait and continue to.

Exactly. USCIS should definitely do a better job letting people know what is going on with their cases.

I definitely feel a bit less suffocated, but dread the time frame it might take them to clear my name!!! Cross ur finger for the rest of us waiting, every finger counts lol

This definitely seems to be the case. I posted on a different thread about the email I got back from my lawyer after he saw an immigration officer regarding my case status. The immigration officer said mine was being held up due to background checks. I like to think I have a very unique name, at least as far as my last name, but I guess you never know who's out there. Hang in there, it is more than likely due to background checks still being done.
