I feel for everyone here! I'm in exactly the same boat:

Received - 5/2/16
Bios - 6/1/16
Expiration - 9/4/16

I was granted 30 day unpaid leave for work, and I'm extremely grateful for this generosity. I've sent an e-request, met with an officer via infopass, called USCIS, and met with an immigration attorney. All these efforts to try and flag my case were to no avail. I've been met with the same response, which is to wait. I wasn't angry with any of the representatives, as I understand that the situation is also out of their hands and a function of the incompetency of USCIS.

In the meantime, I'm going to take an online class and possibly volunteer, so my future employers don't think that I just went on an extended vacation...

Good luck to all!

He did submit within the IT outage time though. Application early or mid may and bios in June. He doesn't have access to his ELIS account anymore though. He got the code and could check for awhile but when he went to log in last week it didn't work anymore. Anyone else have this happen?

He can still check his receipt numbers though.
I'm 9/4 and no news, as well.

If your boyfriend works for a large enough company, they're used to dealing with EAD lapses of various kinds and will have a policy in place to put him on a leave and transition him back later.

Tell him to be up front with the HR department, and that type of information should be kept confidential anyway. Good luck to him.

If he gets approved this week, maybe his work will be ok with him continuing his work even before the EAD gets in his hands. Not the case for my company, but he could ask.

I'll have him try that link when he gets home. Thanks!

We definitely can not afford to live on just my salary so I'm hoping a miracle happens. Otherwise we will have to break our lease and go live with my parents or something.

Recieved: February 29, 2016
Bios: originally March 25, 2016 (had to reschedule since I gave birth to my daughter on March 23)
Took Bios on April 27, 2016.
I-821D approved: August 23, 2016
EAD card being produced update: August 25, 2016

Anyone know how long it takes for EAD to be mailed after getting that update of it being produced?

I am planning to walk in tomorrow early morning. I am assuming if there is a line of people, maybe they won't pay as much attention to the appt date? I also have an InfoPass appointment on Wednesday, so if the ASC won't allow me to walk in, I will ask the immigration officer to reschedule it to a sooner date if possible. I am assuming if it's only rescheduling the date, they won't mess it up like last time...

[quote=Dude;576338]Although that's something good, it still sucks... once I get my bio appt, I will try to do a walk-in (they've told me no before), and if they don't let me, I'll drive to another ASC and try it (I've heard of someone here doing their biometrics in a different state and different date than scheduled).

Last update for me, got my card. It told me it went into production on 8/10... but then it really went into production on 8/24. I was freaking out about the 8/10 possibility of it having got lost so I used the inbox thing to send a message saturday. They got back to me today around noon (the letter was probably in the mail already) with all the proper info and tracking #.

expire 09/23/16
received 05/26/16
bio 06/23/16
approved 8/9/16
production 8/10/16
for real this time 8/24/16
received ead 8/29/16

See you guys in 2 years.

edit - should add that none of the USCIS pages show any updates for my cases and I got no notifications about actual card production\shipment and I wouldn't have gotten a tracking # without asking for it.

First February app I've seen in a while, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Good idea. Infopass sounds like a safer option than driving to random ASC's hoping to get in unnoticed.
